Darth Maul (2017) #1-Corusant Comics Review

Image
Starting with the Darth Maul series, we will be reviewing and analyzing Star Wars comic series. If you have any requests, make sure to leave a comment below! Starting with Comic number one... Darth Maul (2017) #1 First off, after his 'death' in the Phantom Menace and his return in both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, Darth Maul has become my favorite Sith of all time. I've been hungry for more bits of information about Maul and this will supply it. I'm glad to have this series and I'm glad to be to review it here. When I first started reading the comic, I was a little thrown off. Instead of immediately starting with Darth Maul, we get a conversation with a group of big-game hunters. Suddenly a Rathar appears from above. Rathars are definitely cool, but their appearance in the Force Awakens  was kind of strange. Although the entrance of Darth Maul definitely was awesome. Instead of wielding his double bladed lightsaber, Maul holds a pike-type w

Introducing Coruscant Comics!

A new addition to the Coruscant Post, we are announcing Coruscant Comics . Like the Thursday Theory  every other week we will review a new Marvel Star Wars comic. Once we start reviewing a series we will continue to review it until the series is finished. Starting with the Darth Maul 2017  series we will narrate and review the sizzling story that takes place. After reviewing the fifth and final comic in the series we will be following this order: 1. Mace Windu (5-Comic Series will be released in August 2017) 2. Princess Leia (2015) 3. Darth Vader 2017 (Ongoing 4 comics published of this time) 4. Dr. Aphra 2017 (Ongoing 10 comics published of this time) 5. Poe Dameron 2016-2017 (Ongoing 17 comics published of this time) 6. Thrawn (Released 2018) After we have reviewed all of these comics, we will work on the Darkhorse comics. These will be announced after the Thrawn series has finished. Like the Thursday Theory, we will have a link to access all of our reviews on the h

Grand Admiral Thrawn will get his own Marvel comic

Image
Artists Luke Ross and Nolan Woodard will team up to create a new comic series based off the Grand Admiral Thrawn of the Imperial Navy. Originally created by Timothy Zahn, the author of the lengends Thrawn trilogy and the new "Thrawn" book released in April, Thrawn is a cunning character and remains one step ahead of his enemies. Thrawn came to comics in the 1990's by Dark Horse. Signing off- The Coruscant Post

Hasbro announces some of the Last Jedi line figures, including Dr. Aphra and Captain Rex

Image
Remember when we said that the fan choice poll winner, Dr. Aphra, wouldn't be released until 2018? We were right. Dr. Aphra will be released as part of the new The Last Jedi   line of figures next year. Many figures were shown at SDCC, and a few of the figures are in vintage packaging. Here's a look at the Dr. Aphra figure.  She comes in the vintage packaging, with the word "Legends" as the title. Her figure comes with her blaster ready to shoot.  Along with the many others, a Captain Rex figure will be apart of the figure line.  You can't expect perfection (unless it's slideshow collectibles), but I'm not sure about the face. Below the Canon 1-Cad Bane's Death

Image
Starting today, we will be adding another special thing to The Coruscant Post. We'll be talking about hidden stories from not canon adventures and analyzing them to canon facts. There will be no set dates, but a link on the home page will be added like The Thursday Theory . Today we're talking about how Boba Fett got his famous dent in his Mandalorian helmet. We also might be able to say that Cad Bane is dead. On Day 1 at Star Wars Celebration Orlando, Dave Filoni talked about the Clone Wars and some unfinished story arcs and episodes. Some of these will be talked about later on Below The Canon like "A Distant Echo", but for now we're going to talk about an standoff between Boba Fett and Cad Bane. Because the episode is not finished like others, we have no context on what happened, but it seemed like Boba Fett's companions were taken hostage by Cad Bane. Bane wanted Fett to surrender, but things went into an old-fashioned western standoff. The bouty hu

AHSOKA LIVES! Did our re-watching of the Rebel panels gives conformation?

Image
For the heck of it, I decided to re-watch the sneak peak Rebels Season 4 panel. When we looked closer at the scene we discovered something that might confirm a popular fan-theory This story will be shorter, but watch out because the next Thursday Theory  will be all about the Ahsoka Lives theory. When the panel started Dave Filoni walked out wearing his well-known "Ahsoka Lives?" shirt.  The panel continued on like this with Filoni and all the other cast members talking about Star Wars: Rebels . When the trailer was shown the stage went dark, giving Dave Filoni the perfect oppurtunity to do either: a) He changed the "?" sign to a "!" sign or b) He changed his shirt. What we're saying is: Dave Filoni might've just confirmed the theory. If you follow and believe us, Ahsoka is alive. We have plenty of more information on the Thursday Theory  so be ready. Forces Of Destiny Episode 8: Bounty of Trouble

Forces Of Destiny Episode 7: The Stranger

Image
In this Episode Jyn Erso is the focus. When a younger girl is terrorized by a group of stormtroopers for owning a Loth-Cat, Jyn steps in a shares a moment of human kindness. Very nicely done, one of ur favorites yet. Signing off- The Coruscant Post

The Impostor Inside: Forces Of Destiny Episode 6

Image
We may actually be the first people to cover this story so far. This episode surprisingly came out an hour before 10:00 AM, maybe as a make-up for being late yesterday? We were going to re-watch the last episodes when we saw the new one posted. Today's episode: "The Impostor Inside" features Ahsoka over at Padme's apartment for a negotiation dinner with her fellow senators. Ahsoka has an eagle eye with customs, and they catch a changeling bounty hunter.  Signing off- The Coruscant Post

Beasts of Echo Base: Forces Of Destiny Episode 5

Image
What happens when Chewie is kidnapped by a Wampa and Luke's not there to cut off it's arm? Trouble happens. In this Episode, Leia looses contact with Chewbacca and finds him stuck in the arms of a sleeping Wampa. She manages to seal off the door to the cave, and stopping it from getting inside. The Padawan's Path: Forces Of Destiny 4

Image
In this Episode Ahsoka is on her way to a ceremony with Anakin and Yoda to mark her advancement as a Padawan. She runs into a malfunctioning droid that's terrorizing innocent people. She makes the decision to do the right thing, instead of being on time, and it all ends up okay. We get the "Snips" nickname again from Anakin, a name we haven't heard since 2012 when the final episodes of Season 5 of the Clone Wars animated series cam out. This also debunks the theory of more Clone Wars, a theory which I debunked in my mind as soon as it was said. The theory stating that Matt Lanter (Anakin) and Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka) have come back together to record, would show that the Clone Wars is coming back or another animated series is being created. In the sneak peek for Forces of Destiny, it shows the two actors recording. Anyway, here's the video for you. Remember to get on Disney's Youtube Channel every day at 10 AM Pacific Time for Forces Of Destiny! Signi

An unscheduled Fight For The Finish!-The Clone Wars Animated Series

Yeah even though we said the next one wasn't until December 9th, but we couldn't resist. This one's a little different though than the one from June. In this one and the following ones we will decide the winner based on three different challenges. Each matchup will be determined on Strength, Speed, and Weapons  (Unless a previous canon battle has occurred). For every challenge a character wins, they get one point. Whoever has the most points wins the matchup. To show you how we decided the victors, we will explain down below. Below all the explanations is the bracket.   Remember these battles are decided with a location of a white void and using the gear they normally have with them. Here's how we chose the victors: ROUND 1: Game 1: Ahsoka Tano VS Anakin Skywalker Victor-Anakin Skywalker Strength: Anakin would have more strength than Ahsoka Tano in this case if it came to a simple fist fight. We've seen Anakin beat up Poggle The Lesser, and Ahsoka can hold he
