Review Of Target Exclusive Black Series 6'' Imperial AT-ACT Driver

We went to Target a few days ago and picked up a little something. Welcome to our review of the Target Exclusive Black Series 6'' Inch Imperial AT-ACT Driver from Rouge One. We purchased this one for $16.99, and hopefully you can find yours for sale at your local Target, or if you desperately want it you can buy it at target.com. The price there is set at retail $19.99 though. Three dollars isn't that much higher, but if you want the discount the sale might be at your local Target, but that's a big might. Anyway, here's the Coruscant Post review of the Imperial AT-ACT Driver.

As always, the first thing we say is 'Wow that packaging looks great!', and this time is no different. The Black Series boxing has never let us down, and it's sleek and well done.
Taking the figure out was a little difficult. Usually they're stiff from manufacturing, but this one time seemed especially hard. The figure is really nice though. The paint job is superb, and looks amazing. The belt though isn't very well done. It's flimsy and might fall of over time. When you lift the legs of the figure, the two belt attachments bend and never turn back to it's original shape. The figure, which is in no way correlated to Hasbro, basically looks like a Shoretrooper. The only difference is the color scheme.
The figure takes the body of the Imperial Hovertank Pilot from 2016, and then like we said takes the basic head figure of the Shoretrooper. It's not very original if you're a high experienced collector, but it's okay. The figure of course is completely repainted. Not to rip on Hasbro's figure or anything, but seriously it looks like they pulled the head off the Shoretrooper and stuck it on a Hovertank Pilot body, and then said "Hey look! We took a year to do what a three year old kid could do in a minute!" This isn't some shoe mix-and-match at the dollar store Hasbro.

Wow that sounded a little more harsh than it should, but in all fairness the figure is not very original at all. The paint job like we said multiple times is different and we'll get a closer look at everything soon.
The body is divided into two pieces, the chest piece and the belt piece, The belt piece of course is more than just the belt, as it attaches to the legs.
The entire length of joint movement is average compared to the other Black Series figures, so there's not much to say about that.
The arm design is good, but of course I should say the Hovertank Pilot arm design is good.
Here's the flip view of the arm.
And of course just like the Shoretrooper, the Imperial emblem is on the helmet, but that's Gareth Edward's choice not Hasbro's. We can't give them all the blame.

When it comes down to small details, Hasbro in our opinion is better than Kenner. Of course better manufacturing equipment has been developed, making it easier for Hasbro to produce these figures. The thermal detonator is on the belt, including the other attachments that bend if you move the legs like we said earlier in the article.
The figure, if you didn't see in the packaging, comes with a standard Imperial E-11 blaster. Holding him upright with the blaster was a pain, we don't have any stands, but that's the same with all of the figures nowadays.
So here's a fun fact. Remember when we said the body was divided into two pieces? That makes for some interesting twists. You can literally spin the top or bottom piece around shown here. We spun the belt piece around. Can you see the thermal detonator is the front and not the back where it belongs?
Here's the same thing. Flip the sides, and that would be pretty darn painful for a real stormtrooper.
As we close our review, let's get a better close up of that E-11. Same blaster as always.
Thank you for reading our full review of the Target Exclusive Black Series 6'' Imperial AT-ACT Driver. If you like the figure you just saw, you can go to your local Target to pick it up or go here if you want it from Target's website.
