Our Analysis Of Battlefront II Beta-(Update 1)

So first off, we are very sorry for the lack of posts right now.

Here's our part 1 of Battlefront 2 Game Analysis.

So this a twitch livestream video presenting Battlefront II, and we checked it out a bit. The heavy class, which the streamer started using in the beginning of the video is what we will analyze right now.

The Heavy Class:
The Heavy Class is very good for long distance, it has a very powerful blaster and it has auto-fires. Equipped with a grenade, you can see how this streamer was able to defeat stormtroopers from on top of Maz's Castle, which ended up being the map for that round. The Heavy Class also has a force field, which allows you to have more protection in close combat, but the defensive gadget is easily defeated by a melee attack. You could see in the beginning of the video, before he managed to get on top of the castle, that the streamer was struggling to play and he was getting killed more than killing. So it's safe to say from our analysis that the Heavy Class is good for Medium to Long Range, but not so much in close combat.

The Assault Class:
The Assault class is similar to the heavy class, however even though equipped with a grenade, people using this class have a hard time killing people from a distance, something the Heavy Class could do easily. The Assault Class basic gun is auto-firing, but it lacks damage from a distance away from the target. Although it doesn't have great long range skills, it makes up for it in close combat where 8 out of 10 times it can defeat a stormtrooper. So basically the opposite of the Heavy Class shooting power and range.

This post will be updated later, including ships and other characters and classes. The title of this post right now is "Original" (As of first post time), and it will change to "Update 1" and so on. You will know when we have added more information.

Update 1:
As of the current beta, you can not have any true customization effects like Battlefront One did, for example removing your helmet. These features may be added to the full release of the game.

The Officer Class:
In the officer class, you can choose to have either a DC-17 pistol or a BLURRG-1120. If you're familiar with blasters, you'll know that these are non other than Captain Rex's pistol and Hera Syndulla's blaster. You have more health than the Assault and Heavy Classes do, because your main job is to support them, not to go rushing in to the middle of fire. The Officer is equipped with a turret, which after its deployment can be remotely self-destructed by hitting "E", the same button used to deploy it. You can use this tactic to push off invading people coming to your base. The officer is also equipped with a grenade, but it's not a thermal detonator. It attaches itself to the floor and beeps, and will blow up if it's in contact with the opposing team.

The Jumptrooper:
The Jumptrooper takes 2,000 battle points away from your budget, 3,000 less than a hero would. It isn't that great inside, so don't spend your points until your outside. Your battle points will reset once the round is over, so be wary. You can launch flying attacks and kill people from the air or land behind your enemy and kill them without them noticing. The Jumptrooper is a very powerful character to play as, if you know how to use it correctly.

There is no voice chat in the game, but you can hit "T" to open chat.

Game on!
